Manny Pacquiao – World’s Best Boxer
Nov 28th
It’s been another success for Manny Pacquiao and to all Filipino people in bringing home the belt of boxing yesterday, November 15 Philippine time, when the referee stopped the game winning the title. Kreigel, commented Manny as the world’s best boxer in the world and it is a history.
What is his secret of having this strength to fight Miguel Cotto-well known to be the strongest and biggest guy among his opponents. The night before the fight, Cotto was interviewed and he told the reporter that he’ll gonna win it. Filipino people are almost scared with how the fight will go through because of all the interview that poured out the public. Manny Pacquiao is humbly tellingthe people that he never and will never belittle Cotto’s strength for he is the strongest among his opponents. He will do his best to bring home the belt and to make it history in the world boxing of his time. He was even accused by Mayweather, Sr. that he is using steroids to make him strong and to be a muscle man look. He denied all the accusations and he told that he is not using any but a self-discipline during his trainings, a proper diet and a complete rest, no sex three months before the fight. (Quite true, but how can he explain his linkage to a Filipina sexy star and made her wife Jinky a teary eyed during a thanksgiving mass).
I personally watched the fight via net live streaming. On the first round of the fight, I was so stunned watching when everyone assumes that Cotto will gonna knock him down. I was screaming on the third round when he unexpectedly knocked down Cotto. The fight last till 12 rounds which is the last round but just started the last round, the referee had stopped the fight. Pacquiao was declared as unanimously winner.
Brief History:
He is currently the WBO welterweight world champion, IBO and Ring Magazine light welterweight champion and was known as the number one pound-for-pound boxer in the world.
He is also the former WBC lightweight world champion, WBC superweight world champion, IBF superbantamweight world champion, and WBC flyweight world champion.
The Filipino boxing superstar is the first boxer to win seven world titles in seven different weight divisions. In addition, he is the only boxer to win the lineal championship (“the man who beat the man”) in four different weight classes. He is not just a boxer, he also a politician, an actor, a product endorser and a singer.

Remove Vocals from MP3 Songs
Nov 10th
The best way to get great sounding karaoke music is to buy music that comes without vocals in the first place. If that’s not an option, a number of tools help you remove vocals from MP3 files to make your own karaoke songs. None of them do this perfectly, because the whole premise of removing vocals is based on eliminating frequencies commonly found in the human vocal range from the file. Often these frequencies are also common to other instruments, so the sound of the entire song can sometimes get a little iffy. Here’s a couple of my favorite ways to remove vocals from audio tracks.
Removing Vocals with Wavosaur
The most cost effective way to eliminate vocals is to use Wavosaur. Be sure to download Wavosaur before proceeding. First open the file you want to remove vocals from in Wavosaur by selecting it using File > Open. The application defaults to opening WAV files, so you may need to switch the Of Type to MP3 or whatever your file format happens to be.
Once the file is loaded in Wavosaur, choose Processing > Vocal Remover from the menu and Wavosaur automatically removes vocal frequencies from the file.

To save the file with vocals removed as an MP3, you need to download LAME and place it in the Wavosaur directory. You can find directions on where to get LAME in the Wavosaur support forum. Make sure you choose Save As when saving the vocal impaired file, or it will over-right your existing file.
If you have a bunch of files you want to remove vocals from all at once, you can do a batch process with Wavosaur. Open Wavosaur, then go to Tools > Batch Processor on the menu. Choose the directory containing all the files you want to remove vocals from. Choose a directory to store the converted files. Select Vocal Removal from the Function list and click the Run button. Depending on how many files you chose, this might take awhile.

WordPress Themes Record Skype Conversations With MP3 Skype Recorder
Nov 6th
Worldwide many internet users are nowadays using Skype to converse with people from other parts of the world. These conversations can be personal, with our loved ones; these conversations can also be business oriented, with our bosses or employees.

Whether the conversation taking place is personal or related to business, there might be instances where you want to record the call taking place. For a business call especially, you might want to have a record of the verbal agreement that took place on the Skype call. In case of the personal call, you might want to replay the audio to listen to the voice of people dear to you.
While it might have difficult to do so before, with MP3 Skype Recorder you can easily record your Skype conversations. MP3 Skype Recorder is a freeware that can record P2P Skype calls and SkypeOut calls as well as calls to Skype Online number.
“The program sits in the system tray and monitors skype calls. It starts recording automatically when you begin conversation. It can record several calls simultaneously (one active with others on hold). When doing so the recorder stores every call in separate file for later use. Simple and intuitive interface requires almost no tuning. All you have to do is install the program and provide it with access to the Skype client.”
Not only does this useful program let your record the audio, but you can also modify the quality in which the audio is recorded i.e. you choose from Mono, Stereo, and Join Stereo as well as bit rates of 24, 32, 64, and 128 kbps.
*MP3 Skype Recorder uses the LAME MP3 encoder to encode the recorded audio.
This recorder is a program that does exactly what it says without any glitches. Good job, MP3 Skype Recorder!
6 Facebook Hack Codes & Tips To Show Off Your Geeky Skills
Nov 6th
The very first thing I should mention is that when it comes to Facebook, there’s really no such thing as “hack codes.” The title of this article is partially tongue-in-cheek, because with Facebook, the rules change so often that one “Facebook hack” code that works today will likely not work tomorrow. Facebook designers change links and features at whim – and you’re left trying to guess what’s coming next and why your link or plug-in no longer works.
However, I wanted to provide a list of the top 6 of my favorite Facebook “hack” codes and tips to other Facebook enthusiasts out there.
#1 – The Konami Code Lens Flare Hack
This is a rather silly hack, but if you’re visiting friends who may not be very computer savvy – this is a very easy way to impress them with your hacking skills. Borrow their computer (or bring your laptop), log into your Facebook account, and then on the computer keyboard just type the following key sequence of arrows and letters exactly: UP-UP-DOWN-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT-B-A-<Enter>
Then, click around on your Facebook page, or scroll up and down the page (this seems to work best), and you’ll discover a pretty cool display of lens flare effects.

Oddly, the effect isn’t horribly annoying because it disappears pretty quickly when you really need it to. It isn’t the most impressive hack though, because it’s probably the most common one mentioned across the net – but it’s still kind of cool and fun to play around with.
#2 – Aye, Make Yer Profile a Pirate’s Page You Landlubber!
The second profile hack is also one of the easiest to implement. Facebook offers users the ability to transform their Facebook pages into any language that they like. If you scroll down to the lower left corner of your profile page, you’ll see your current language setting. Click on this, and you’ll have a list of all languages available to you. Notice the English Pirate option?

Ahoy matey – yer now a Cap’n! Now as you go through your profile page you’ll notice some pretty hilarious pirate variations.

Now, the wall is the Plank, your profile is the Cap’n’s Log, and you can now either click a post as pleasin’ to me eye (like) or blabber t’yer mates (comment). It certainly removes the “boring” factor from your old standard Facebook pages.
#3 – Upside Down Status Updates
If you’ve been on Facebook long enough, you’ve probably noticed a few people posting upside down status updates. They sure do think they’re clever don’t they?! Yes, you too can be the envy of all of your friends and family by posting your updates so that people have to look silly by tilting their heads upside down so they can read it.
Most of the people you’ve seen doing this have likely installed a Facebook app just to do so. However, I dislike installing apps because you always have to provide permissions to those applications to access your profile. A better approach is to use the free online application at FlipText to generate your upside down status update.

Simply copy the upside down text from the lower text box, paste it into your Facebook status box and post!
#4 – Download Complete Photo Collections From Your Friends’ Profiles
If you have a lot of friends on Facebook, you may not have the time to keep up with all of the new family photos they’ve posted – but you are very interested in them and would love to have them stored in your own private photo collection to review later. Well, thanks to a very cool FireFox plug-in called FacePAD, you can do just that.
After you install the FacePad plug-in, make sure you select Tools->Add-Ons, and configure the options for FacePad so it has your correct Facebook language. Then, all you have to do is go to your friend’s photo albums, right-click on the title and select “Download Album With FacePAD.” That’s right, you’re not downloading a single picture – but an entire album.

Once you do, FacePad downloads every single image within that album into the download folder you’ve configured in FireFox. Don’t forget to organize all of those photos using JetPhoto.
#5 – Schedule Facebook Status Updates With Sendible
Do you like to keep your Facebook profile active, but you’re coming down with a cold and may be offline for a few days? Maybe you’re taking a trip and won’t be anywhere near a computer for a week. Or maybe you’ll be playing hooky from work and traveling, but you want your colleagues and boss to think you’re stuck at home sick. Accomplish any of these wishes by using Sendible to schedule your Facebook status updates.
But for Facebook specifically, once you sign up with Sendible, just click on Facebook and provide your Facebook login details. Sendible connects directly with your Facebook account. The, under “New Messages” click on “Status Updates“.

On the next page you can schedule out as many updates as you’d like! This service is awesome – and you can distribute scheduled updates to a number of social networks including MySpace, Blogger, Twitter and more.
#6 – Hide Your Online Status From Certain People
Look, don’t feel bad about it. When I first joined Facebook I left my online status wide open. After a couple of weeks of getting inundated with nonstop chat requests, I simply turned off my online status completely. Problem solved. Except, there really were certain people I wouldn’t mind hearing from – is it really fair for a few chatterbox buddies to ruin your chances for communicating with everyone? Well, there is a way for you to selectively block your online status from certain people.

All you have to do is open up your chat icon in the lower right corner of your Facebook display, click on Friend Lists, and create a new list called “BlockList.” Make sure after you create it that it’s configured under “Display these lists in Chat.”
Now, all you have to do is either click “edit” and add the friends you want to block, or if they’re already online, just click their name and drag them under this new list. Once you’ve got everyone there who you want to block from see your online status, hover your mouse over the green dot to the right and click on “Go Offline.” Now, you appear offline to only those certain friends.
Facebook, unlike MySpace, is not really easy to tweak – which is actually a good thing. Gone are the days of those horrid eye-bleeding pages with pink flashing backgrounds and instant music that you can’t turn off. However, the tweaks and plug-ins in the list above offer at least a few ways to customize your Facebook account and usage to suit your life and your personality.
How do you use Facebook? Are there any hacks or add-ons not offered here that you especially like to use? Share them in the comments section below!
Connectify: Turn Your Windows 7 Laptop into a Virtual Wi-Fi Hotspot
Nov 4th

Virtual Wi-Fi was going to be a cool Windows 7 feature to turn PCs into a Wi-Fi access-point, so devices could share a connection without special software. It missed the cut, but this free app finishes the work Microsoft abandoned.
Some of the code that Microsoft Research used to virtualize one Wi-Fi card as several adapters still made its way into Windows 7′s underpinnings. Connectify completes the job.
The result is a shared connection that differs to the usual “ad hoc” network connection, because it shows up as a real access point, reverts to default settings each time you restart, and you can join a Wi-Fi network and run the Connectify hotspot on the same Wi-Fi card. Traffic can also be encrypted using WPA-2 Personal (AES).
“You’re sitting in a coffee shop that charges you for a wireless connection. With Connectify, I can pay for that connection, and still have all my other devices, like my iPhone, connected to the Internet.”
If you want to give it a try, the beta of Connectify is currently a free download. Check it out at: [Connectify]
Spammer ordered to pay Facebook $711m
Nov 2nd
Facebook has been awarded damages of $711 million against Sanford Wallace, who spammed the social network with fake messages. Wallace was sued in February, alongside Adam Arzoomanian, for obtaining login details for accounts and using them to send links to phishing or commercial sites that paid spammers for referrals.
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California came up with the $711 million figure by issuing $50 per violation of the CAN-SPAM Act – of which there would be approximately 1.4 million.
According to the company blog, Facebook “doesn’t expect to receive the vast majority of the award” however, they are hoping that a separate criminal action will send him to jail.
In addition to the damages, Wallace has also been referred for prosecution for criminal contempt of court by Judge Jeremy Fogel.
This isn’t the first time Wallace has been fined for spamming. He was found guilty of violating the CAN-SPAM act in May 2008. That time he was ordered to pay $230 million for spamming and phishing on MySpace. He was also fined $4 million by the FTC in 2006 and has had many other lawsuits filed against him in between.
Swine Flu or the H1N1 Origin
Nov 1st
What is swine flu or the H1N1 pandemic? How it spreads all over the world? When this flu started?
Swine influenza (also called swine flu, hog flu, pig flu and sometimes, the swine) is an infection by any one of several types of swine influenza virus. Swine influenza virus (SIV) is any strain of the influenza family viruses that is endemic in pigs. As of 2009, the known SIV strains include influenza C and the subtypes of influenza A known as H1N1, H1N2, H3N1, H3N2 and H2N3 according to Wikipedia.
H1N1 emerged as a massive threat to health worldwide, it comes out to nowhere but where and when this flu originated is not clear yet.
The main flu virus circulating in humans has been from the H1 family prior to 1889. People born prior to this year who have been exposed to H1 flu, have some immunity to this illnesses but born after 1889 do not have any immunity to H1.
In 1918, the “Spanish flu” that may reflect a zoonosis either from swine to humans, or from humans to swine is an epidemic that kills at least 50 million people globally. It is caused by an H1N1 virus whichfrom bird flu into a human flu. H1N1 sufferers develop a rapidly fatal infection deep in their lungs, although most cases are found to be mild. Most deaths are caused by bacterial lung infection that move in after the virus.
After 1919, the descendants of the H1N1 virus continue to circulate and cause seasonal flu outbreaks in humans – and pigs. In 1930, influenza virus was identified as swine flu or came from pigs.
In 1933, the first human flu virus is isolated at Mill Hill in London. When given to ferrets, it produces a disease whose symptoms are all but identical to the Iowan pig virus.
In1957, an H2N2 virus completely displacing the H1N1 viruses that have been circulating in humans since 1918. The pandemic is fairly mild. The human-adapted H1N1 swaps genes with an H2N2 bird flu was produced by genetic virus. The new H and N surface proteins mean most people do not have antibodies to the virus, allowing it to go pandemic. However, its human-adapted genes mean it is not as lethal to humans as the 1918 virus, which came, with few changes, from birds.
In 1968, an H3N2 virus causes the “Hong Kong” flu pandemic, whichaccording to research is even milder than the Asian flu. The virus only differs from H2N2 in one of its surface proteins, the H; since many people still have antibodies to the unchanged N2 protein, its effects are less severe. But because H3N2 completely replaces H2N2 in people, no one born since 1968 has any immunity to H2.
In 1977, an H1N1 virus appears in north-east China and starts circulating in humans. It causes seasonal flu in every subsequent year. No one knows where it came from, though it looks like an H1N1 that circulated in the Soviet Union in 1950.
In 1988, a swine flu virus killed one woman and infected others. Influenza-like illness (ILI) was reportedly widespread among the pigs exhibited at the fair. 76% of 25 swine exhibitors aged 9 to 19 tested positive for antibody to SIV, but no serious illnesses were detected among this group. Additional studies suggested between one and three health care personnel who had contact with the patient developed mild influenza-like illnesses with antibody evidence of swine flu infection. However, there was no community outbreak, according to wikipedia.
In 1998, H1N1 swine flu virus emerges inthe US. It is a hybrid of human, bird and swine flu viruses, and by 1999 it is the dominant flu strain in US pigs. US pig farms try to control it with vaccines, but these attempts are largely ineffective because the virus evolves too rapidly, changing the surface proteins targeted by the vaccine while keeping its internal genes unchanged.
H5N1 flu, first identified as a threat to humans in Hong Kong in 1997, spreads from Asia around the world, apparently carried by wild birds. It was in 2004, when this “bird flu” proves deadly to humans, killing more than half of its victims, it is kept in check by its inability to spread readily from human to human. H5N1 is also known to be found in pigs in Indonesia and fears to reassort to human viruses that pigs can harbour.
In 2009, The first case of a new type of swine flu are reported in California and Texas in late March.
In April, with 900 cases of suspected swine flu reported in Mexico, the World Health Organization (WHO) upgrades the pandemic warning level of swine flu. The US government advises against travel to Mexico as it is know to be the carrier of this virus.
Although swine flu spreads, it is still progressing quickly enough to justify preparing for a pandemic. However, the WHO delays declaring a pandemic, partly because there is not enough evidence that the virus is spreading in the general population outside the Americas, where it originated.
It was just on June 2009 when World Health Organization (WHO) oficially declared swine flu as pandemic.
On July 2009, treatment plans are shaken by the discovery of swine flu that is resistant to the antiviral drug Tamiflu and the realisation that the H1N1 vaccine is growing compared to ordinary vaccine.
The US decides to use its standard formulation for flu vaccine, so no new regulatory tests will be needed. This will allow it to authorize pandemic vaccine before September, when a renewed wave of the pandemic is expected. But this formulation uses a lot of virus, and so reduces the number of doses that can be made.
On August 2009, many have obtained supplies of the antiviral drugs for their households.
In September, four major vaccine manufacturers report that their swine flu vaccines work with only one shot and the good news is, vaccine is effective despite rapid number of people were infected.
Until this time, H1N1 alert is still continues as it is a fatal virus. Proper self care is needed. Cover your mouth when you are sneezing, avoid exposing yourself to crowds, wash your hands properly and equip yourself with vitamins.
